Long ago, different kinds of boats had
to stop there and it was one of the hiding places chosen by the french
pirates and for the slave traffic. With the coming of Brigitte Bardot
in the sixties, Búzios, which was still an unknown fishermen
village, slowly turned into a tourist destination famous around the
world, owing to its natural beauties.
Nowadays, it has also become the obligatory
stop for those Luxury Cruises which sail through the brasilian coast
searching for these heavenly landscapes.
On the other side, it still is the destination
of hundreds of tourists who arrive in their own boats from all parts
of the world.
